Pano-metal fusion photography by Jerry Zimmer
November & December 2015 Art Exhibition
Visit the Shingleback Wine Cellar Door and The Elbow Room in McLaren Vale in November and December 2015 to enjoy the incredible works of Jerry Zimmer Photography.
Born in Milwaukee Wisconsin,USA, Jerry and his family migrated to South Australia, setting in McLaren Vale when Jerry was just 10 years old.
Today, Jerry is a skilled portrait, product, aerial, landscape, wedding and architectural photographer inspired by the incredible Australian landscapes around him.
When the conditions in the sky are right, Jerry often jumps in his van and hits a part of the coast to capture a stunning sunset.
A significant area of Jerry’s photography is long sweeping panoramas consisting of 10 to 15 high resolution 36 megapixel images stitched together and printed on metal. This is labour of love as the work requires great patience but the rewards are well worth the effort.
Printing on metal has become popular worldwide. There are several labs that print directly onto metal but Jerry wanted to take it to another level and have more control over the process.
There are currently two surfaces on offer, Raw Aluminum and White Aluminum Composite (plastic in between two thin sheets of painted aluminum). Both will be avaialble to view at the Pano-metal fusion exhibition.
Prints can be made custom to order, to fit the size and look of your room. The maximum size that can be printed is 2400mm x 1200mm.
