Gail Kellett Biography Note - I work from home in McLaren Vale on the Fleurieu Peninsula. My ideas reflect the diversity of the region in which I live- rural and urban landscape, native flora, agricultural machinery and still life.

I find linocut printmaking a powerful medium- exciting and unpredictable. My work is hand drawn straight onto the lino. This gives it freshness and spontaneity.

Design is paramount to my style. I enhance the main image with bold elements in both the foreground and background.

When cutting I utilise varying techniques to display texture and create energy. I use water based Block Print Lamp Black Ink. Each piece is individually hand rolled.
