March & April 2015 Art Exhibition
I have been fortunate enough to have travelled with my family and friends to most parts of Australia and have been inspired to paint our fabulous and diverse scenery from the coastline to the desert and from the tropics to the temperate.
Whilst my favourite medium is watercolour which I think gives a subtle and serene feel, I am now exploring the forgiving acrylic medium and enjoy the freedom with its bold richness.
Because my heart lies in the outback, the desert, the arid ranges and shrinking waterholes, endless saltbush and gibber plains many of my paintings reflect that in the subject matter. However I do enjoy the challenge of other subjects.
I use photo compilation and sketches, then in the studio environment use watercolour, acrylic, pencil to create my paintings.
I hope you enjoy what you see!
