2011 Shingleback D Block Reserve Shiraz
Shiraz
"This has an impenetrable core of black fruit and a wealth of dark spiced chocolate. The palate is deep and powerful, there's a gently savory thread to the finish, dried black fruits run long. Drink now. 92 pts."
Nick Stock for James Suckling, February 2016
"Impenetrable colour, the bouquet offers an inky melange of essency black fruits, mocha and fruitcake spice; the full-bodied and full-blooded palate is densely structured with charry oak, tannin and fruit; time will see this integrate and fulfil its epic potential. 91 pts."

"Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2011 D Block Reserve Shiraz possesses a wonderfully expressive nose of warm blueberries, blackberry coulis and crème de cassis with nuances of dried mint, dark chocolate, cedar and licorice. Medium - full bodied with a great concentration of black fruit preserves and anise flavours, it has an excellent backbone of firm, grainy tannins, uplifting acidity and a finish with very good persistence. Drink now to 2023+. 92+ pts."
